Early
in the morning Company 30 was dispatched for a mutual aide response
with Shenandoah Vol. Fire Co for a structure fire on First Street
in Shenandoah. Chief 70 called for a third alarm before any
apparatus responded due to the size of the fire. Engine 36 could
see flames shooting in the air when it pulled out of the station
(6.5 miles away). Engine 36 supplied two, 5" supply lines
from the Shenandoah river to apparatus on the scene. Unfortunately
elktonfireco.org photographers weren't able to make it to the
scene, these pictures were provided by FF/EMT C. Smith |
